Crystal Jenkins, Community Relations Coordinator with Family Private Care, and her 80 year old father-in-law, Jack Jenkins, partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association at Atlantic Station for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. They cheered the walkers on as they rounded the last curve of the walk.

Alzheimer’s disease affects an estimated 5.4 million Americans today with over 200,000 people battling Alzheimer’s in the state of Georgia. The Alzheimer’s Association is committed to serve families affected by Alzheimer’s and to work towards putting an end to the disease.

Crystal and Jack have volunteered for the last two years and have raised over $1,500.00 for the cause. Eighty-one percent of every dollar raised by the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, is used to fund local programs and services.

Family Private Care is honored to partner with various organizations that serve the Senior Home Care community. Home Care as provided by Private Duty Home Care Providers can help seniors remain at home for as long as the senior and their family desire them to do so. Elderly adults, and younger adults, who face the journey of living with Alzheimer’s can find valuable resources at the Alzheimer’s Association website. As the journey progresses, home care organizations are available to provide excellent caregivers to assist with Personal Home Care reminders and hands-on assistance. For more information, please contact Family Private Care today and a Senior Home Care Adviser will be happy to talk with you about available options.

Thank you Crystal and Jack for participating with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s!
