Complex Ethical Dilemmas in the Healthcare Setting
A unique and fun approach to ethics is in store with this full-day ethics event! One of our most popular speakers, Jason Lesandrini, Executive Director of Medical and Organizational Ethics with Wellstar Health System, will lend his unique approach to guide us through complex case scenarios in clinical, research, and organizational settings. In addition, Mica Whitfield, LMSW Educational Coordinator, with CEU Concepts will provide ethical commentary for Mr. Lesandrini’s case scenarios. This CEU will allow us to evaluate our personal values to determine whether or not they’re in conflict with our professional integrity. We will identify clinical ethics issues in the practice of healthcare, compare and contrast clinical, research, and organizational ethics issues. Finally, the presentation will engage the attendance through an interactive audience response system utilizing clicker technology. Attendees will leave with the tools to identify and problem solve complex ethics issues.
