Tony Plummer, BA, MS, is Chief Executive Officer and Owner of Family Private Care. His love of seniors and those with special needs was particularly developed when he volunteered with his family at various assisted living communities and nursing homes from elementary school through college. His family engrained in him a deep respect for everyone; especially the elderly. In 2000, Tony joined Family Private Care and over the course of time worked in most positions in the company. He was named CEO of Family Private Care in January 2008. While his responsibilities have changed, Tony’s commitment to absolute quality service has not.
There are more than 52 million people in the US over age 65 according to the US Census Bureau. Many Americans in the 40 – 65 age range have a least one or more parents who are elderly and need care. It is a stage of life that is often not welcomed for either...

While working as the intake coordinator for Family Private Care, I had the privilege of working with families to arrange home care for their loved ones. It usually began with a call from a stressed-out daughter or son who is handling his/her parents’ care. At...

Just a word of praise for Laura. She came in when I was in intense pain and handled the situation with poise and a calm professionalism. As I look back, I am impressed how she came in to a strange house and new people and a patient really suffering. I was speaking with the doctor’s assistant and just handed her the phone to take the instructions. She did that and continued a strenuous regime for the rest of the night. I know she was exhausted. I know I was. I give her praises all around. Thanks again for checking in. I am doing great and she really was an angel sent to take of me.

“My mother was a patient who was cared for by your wonderful CNA’s until her passing. Theo was such a blessing to my mother and to us! The tenderness she showed my mother was a comfort to her, and Theo’s expertise relieved my mother from additional pain. Even though Sheila only cared for my mother a few times, she did a great job, too. We will always be grateful to you for quickly lining up Theo for us, the wisdom in having Theo and Sheila as part of your professional team, and to Dawn Reed for advising us to contact you.”

“I needed a caregiver for my mother and was concerned about having someone I did not know in her home. Finally, I called Family Private Care and was so glad I did. They asssured me of their stringent screening process. Indeed I found that the caregivers they sent for my mother were great women who really cared. It took such a load from my mind. I highly recommend Family Private Care to all my friends!”

“I am so relieved to have your caregiver here with us, mostly because it’s such a relief to my wife. She was overwhelmed with all we’re going through, but now she can just spend time with me without having to worry about taking care of me.”
